Visionary Regena Robinson serves as the Executive Director of World Poetry.  She made journalistic history by being the first woman to become the News Director of the NBC television station in Upper Michigan. Under her leadership, the news team coverage led to extraordinary Nielsen ratings becoming #5 in the nation (Morning show), record breaking profit for the parent company and a myriad of awards. This multi-faceted artist' experience also includes working at
 C-SPAN and being a reporter for the District of Columbia Network.  As a journalist, Regena saw firsthand the devastating affects of traumatized survivors and vulnerable communities which motivated her to make a difference. Invaluable insight and having rose above trauma herself, enables our leader to create and manage healing arts programs and initiatives. 

 In addition to our enriching programs, we were one of the first organizations in LA to distribute "Wellness & Self-Care Essentials" kits during this pandemic.
 
Regena holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan, a M. A. in Journalism & Public Affairs from American University and is certified in "The Science of Well Being from Yale University. She  is also a 4-time winning beauty queen! Such poise, intelligence and innovation is poured is fitting for World Poetry's Queendom Reigns Leadership Program.
Regena's is being Mommy to her beautiful, smart and talented 4 year old daughter! Their favorite activities are creating Mommy & Me paintings and fashionable matching outfits.
